Gilles is a Luxembourg-native lawyer with over a decade of experience advising on the full lifecycle of investment vehicles – regulated or not, retail or sophisticated, semi-liquid or illiquid, closed-ended or evergreen.
His focus is threefold:
- Structuring, implementing, and managing efficient private funds across major asset classes
- Guiding asset managers and sponsors through an increasingly complex regulatory landscape
- Advising investors on the deployment and management of private capital
Gilles brings deep technical knowledge of Luxembourg and European fund regimes – including unregulated AIFs, RAIFs, SIFs, SICARs, ELTIFs, and EuVECAs – combined with multilingual fluency (Luxembourgish, French, English, German, and reading knowledge of Dutch), an entrepreneurial mindset, and a strong international network. The result: top-tier legal services delivered with cross-cultural agility, sharp thinking, and seamless execution- right at the heart of the world’s second-largest fund hub.
Gilles heads Liberius’ Luxembourg Desk.
Admitted to the Luxembourg Bar since 2012, Gilles holds a Master’s in private law from the Université Libre de Bruxelles and an LL.M. from King’s College London.
